Hi I’m Simon, a tech YouTuber & productivity expert & Notion Ambassador living in London. I started Better Creating on YouTube to learn new ways of improving my work and life whilst working as a freelance theatre director, & it’s grown into a full-time self-development channel & digital downloads business. I love great design and minimalist thinking, and I now create weekly videos, celebrated Notion Templates and online resources to help you get organised and make life a little bit simpler. My Story
I started Better Creating on YouTube in 2019 alongside my career as a freelance theatre director and movement director. In 2023, I went full-time with Better Creating to create content, Notion templates & personal productivity tutorials as part of a broader digital product business. I’m also a Notion Ambassador.
Before going full-time with Better Creating - I've worked as a theatre-maker for over 17 years! I developed touring productions, ran a theatre company, and worked with major producers, including the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre of Scotland, & through London’s West End, and even directed a major immersive adaptation of a Pulitzer prize-winning Broadway Musical in Europe.
During that time, I would regularly get overwhelmed, overworked, and chaotic, trying to juggle multiple commitments and projects. I also learned the systems, tech, and strategies that make it all easier the hard way. So, I started this mission to help others skip a painful learning curve and achieve a calm and organised life more quickly.
