Hi I’m Simon, a content creator, Notion Ambassador & theatre director living in London. I started Better Creating as a youtube channel to learn new ways of improving my work and life & it’s grown into a full-scale self-development channel & digital downloads business!

My Bio
I’ve been a part-time Content Creator on YouTube since 2019 alongside my other career as a freelance theatre director and movement director in the UK and internationally. I’m also an HEA fellow and ex-senior lecturer in theatre. I now balance directing theatre projects with this solo business of creating content, and share Notion templates & tutorials as part of a wider digital product business. I’m an official Notion Ambassador & Microsoft Loop Creator.
I continue to create theatre and films productions internationally. Over my 17-year theatre career I’ve developed touring productions and worked with companies including the Nation Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre of Scotland, & through London’s West End. I’m currently movement directing for the RSC & recently directed a major immersive adaptation of a pulitzer prize winning Broadway Musical in Europe, which I’m currently working on for a future life with its authors.
I started my journey as a digital creator in 2019 when the pandemic forced a break from my theatre career by first creating video content for the touring theatre company I work with as a creative associate. That company is studied on most theatre syllabuses in the UK and internationally - and so we made training videos and interactive content to support teachers and students. This reignited my love for photography and cameras - and that began my journey into creating educational, and I hope, entertaining content on great ideas tools & tech that can help us live simpler, more productive lives whilst making more meaningful contributions along the way.
Better Creating is a place where I’m collecting thoughts, tips and tools to help us up our game and ultimately, be better creating.
